Quartz Bell Jars
Semicorex quartz bell jars offering exceptional thermal stability, optical clarity, and sealing capabilities for high-temperature and critical environment applications like furnace processes and photolithography.
Semicorex Quartz Bell Jars, meticulously engineered to provide an indispensable solution for a wide range of high-temperature and critical environment applications. Crafted from high-purity fused quartz, these bell jars offer exceptional thermal stability, chemical inertness, and superior optical clarity, making them an ideal component for demanding processes in semiconductor manufacturing, materials science, and research.

Generally, quartz bell jars are used together with fused quartz heat preservation tubes and vertical quartz boats, and are mostly used in the epitaxial process of semiconductor integrated circuit chip production. The epitaxial furnace generally adopts a vertical structure, with the quartz bell jar placed on the outside of the vertical quartz boat, and the quartz heat preservation tube used as a support.

The quartz bell jar is generally sealed directly on a glass lathe, and its top can be divided into dome, flat top, flange docking, etc.; after necessary cleaning, the air guide tube, vent nozzle, nozzle and other accessories are welded manually; then, the cold processing lathe is ground according to the flatness, parallelism and other indicators (the grinding surface must be flat to ensure good sealing of the flange and no leakage).

In furnace systems, our Quartz Bell Jars serve as a crucial protective enclosure for samples undergoing thermal processing. Their remarkable resistance to high temperatures ensures the integrity of the reaction environment, preventing contamination and maintaining precise atmospheric control. The inherent transparency of fused quartz allows for real-time visual monitoring of the process, enabling researchers and engineers to observe reactions, material transformations, and device fabrication steps without compromising the controlled atmosphere. This direct observation capability is invaluable for process optimization, troubleshooting, and ensuring consistent, high-quality results.

The robust construction of our bell jars guarantees uniform heat distribution across the enclosed space, contributing to consistent and reliable thermal processing. Their chemical inertness prevents unwanted reactions between the jar and the process gases or materials, safeguarding the purity of the experiment or manufacturing process. Furthermore, the low thermal expansion coefficient of fused quartz minimizes dimensional changes during rapid temperature fluctuations, ensuring the longevity and reliability of the bell jar within demanding thermal cycling applications.

Critical Role in Photolithography: Observation and Sealing

Quartz Bell Jars play a vital role in photolithography, a cornerstone of microfabrication. During various stages of the photolithographic process, a controlled and often vacuum-sealed environment is essential. Our bell jars provide this critical enclosure, allowing for precise atmospheric control and the protection of delicate substrates and photoresists from external contaminants.

The superb optical clear qartz is most important in photolithography. It lets UV light go through easily which is key for exposing photoresist patterns. This clarity makes sure that pattern transfers accurately and with high resolution onto the substrate a basic need for making complex microelectronic devices.

Sealing abilities are just as important for our Quartz Bell Jars. Used with proper base plates and seals, they will give a tight environment. This sealed space is needed to keep vacuum state for some steps in photolithography, plus to hold some process gases. Exact and trustworthy sealing from our bell jars makes sure that process stability is kept, stops unwanted gas from leaking, and helps the final yield and quality in microfabrication.
